Your Boat Diving will be arranged with Stuart Cove Dive Bahamas. The premier diving is on the South side of the island. (Note: there is diving on the North side of the island, but it is not even near the quality of the South ocean dives) The hotels and all of the other action, casinos, and shopping is on the North side. Stuart has a World-Class operation that picks you up at the hotel at 8AM and takes you to his operation. There you register with the paperwork we have already supplied to you. After registration, you check out your lead weights and any other gear you need and proceed to your boat. You can expect that your dives are going to be on one of many absolutely remarkable south ocean dives. After your dives, Stuart’s buses will bring you back to our hotel at about 1PM.

The warm oceans on the south side flow through the Tongue-of-the-Ocean and keep the south waters clean and enriched. Prolific coral growth and marine life are the result. Whether your love is reefs, walls, sharks, or wrecks, the south ocean has it all. After all, ALL underwater movie filming is done in this area.

Land Shark Divers Resort is the ONLY hotel in Nassau that has a dive shop on premises. We provide groups with Instructors or Divemasters who have been through our Staff Training Program, tanks for pool training and shore dives. After your boat dives in the AM, these groups can make a shore dive or rent one of our kayaks.

OPEN WATER SCUBA DIVING CERTIFICATION OVER A 4-DAY/3-NIGHT LONG WEEKEND:

You CAN DO your openwater training in a WARM TROPICAL location. Our waters are warm and are filled with colorful coral and tropical fish. We do our shore training in the same area that the James Bond films were shot.  Training is done with 2 dive days over a 4-day weekend. Basic and Advanced Openwater can be done with us at a very reasonable cost. Either certification can be completed with 2 dive days over a 4-day weekend. Both can be completed with 3 dive days on a 5 day trip. Our Scuba Training program includes:

BASIC OPENWATER TRAINING:

Land Shark Divers is a NAUI Platinum Training Facility and a Universal Student Referral Facility. We offer a full Openwater Program for NAUI, IDEA, NASDS, PADI, PDIC, SSI, and YMCA. We have NAUI instructors on staff.

• Arrival Friday: Arrive at Land Shark with your Openwater Referral paperwork showing you have completed your academic and pool training, then you chill out and enjoy the hammock yard for the rest of the day. If you get in early enough, catch the bus downtown for some duty free shopping. If you have not had Nitrox academics and you would like to complete nitrox certification on this trip, you can do the academics Friday evening and Saturday morning. THIS MUST BE PRE-BOOKED AND THE MATERIALS WILL BE SENT TO YOU.

• Saturday, Basic Day one: In the AM you can fine tune your skills in our pool. Then in the afternoon you will do 1 snorkel and 2 scuba dives from a beach location with easy entry, no surf.     

• Sunday, Basic Day two:  2 boat dives in the AM to complete your Openwater Certification.

• Day Two Afternoon Option: You have the option of 2 PM boat dives credited towards Advanced Certification. See options below.

Includes:

Three nights of Hotel Package, 3 shore dives (for all skills evaluations and rescue training) and 2 boat dives, all scuba equipment (except wet suit), training fees, certification fees, and diploma indicating Nassau, Bahamas as your training location. Student must provide their own personal snorkeling gear.

COST: $495 per person based on double occupancy

• Nitrox for the 2 boat dives (Must have had Nitrox academics): $20
• Nitrox academics and materials Friday PM and Saturday AM: $100.
• Two standard afternoon boat dives on Basic Day Two: $60

ADVANCED OPENWATER TRAINING:

• Advanced Day One: Continuation of Basic Day Two. Two shore dives in the afternoon. Light Salvage and Advanced Navigation in the afternoon after lunch and a night dive. Then back to the hotel for dinner and relax.
• Advanced Day Two: Four boat dives, 2 AM and 2 PM with Stuart Cove to complete your 6 Advanced Openwater Certification.
• This training can be done as a continuation of the basic course or as a separate 4-day/3-night trip.

Done as a Continuation of your Basic Openwater: Advanced Day One is a PM continuation of Basic Day Two.

$475 with Shark Adventure Dives as afternoon boat dives on Adv Day 2.
